The 7th international EUROTAS Symposiumon Transpersonal Psychology VARTI
- a place where modern science and ancient traditions meet.
EUROTAS is an international organization uniting transpersonal psychologists, psychotherapists, and professional organizations from over 65 countries. During EUROTAS' 38-year history, about 70 conferences and symposia have been held in various countries around the world. In June 2025, Latvia will have the honor of welcoming colleagues from different countries including France, Italy, Spain, Estonia, the Netherlands, Moldova, and Lebanon.
What is the GATE? In Latvian mythology, The Gate is an opening to the Universe, through which God (Divine Light) enters the Earth from the Universe arriving on a "saddled foal" (a foal - knowledge, saddled - governed, embodied). A person must consciously allow this divine light to pass through the GATES into their "yard" (yard - consciousness, life, spiritual space).
THE GATE marks a transition point from one quality/space to another, connecting these spaces and allowing movement from one realm to another. We might view the GATES as a vital part of the path from the subconscious to the conscious, from darkness to light, from the profane to the sacred, and from personal to transpersonal. If the GATE is closed or not found, we can become stuck at a stage of our journey, cut off from understanding the broader reality and deeper knowledge. But when the GATE is open, and we move through it freely, we gain a sense of unity within the world’s diversity, as well as a clearer view of our individual life path and its meaning.
We invite you to participate in exciting lectures, seminars, and workshops to gain new experience and insights into the trends in transpersonal psychology in Latvia and around the world! The Symposium will be held both in person and online, with English and Latvian as working languages. Translation will be provided.
The purpose of the Symposium is to popularize transpersonal psychology, familiarize attendees with the experience of international specialists, and showcase Latvia's rich living traditions and unique cultural heritage, which serves as a precious gem in the transpersonal understanding and practices. The Symposium also offers an opportunity to foster international cooperation in the field of transpersonal psychotherapy.
The Symposium will take place in Riga, the capital of Latvia (June 19-20, 2025), and in the countryside (June 21, 2025).
The Symposium will be held in the heart of Riga at Hotel Centrum Monika offering a perfect opportunity to enjoy the city’s Art Nouveau charm.
The traditional Solstice celebration will be held at Everti, an authentic Latvian homestead over 150 years old (www.everti.lv). Transportation will be provided for symposium guests from Hotel Monika to Everti and back.
